Billy has been in the financial services industry since 1996 after a rewarding career as a jockey. He has worked for several notable firms and opened his own financial planning firm in 2009- Peterson Wealth Services Inc. He obtained his CDFA license in 2011 and began offering divorce financial consulting to individuals, couples and their legal advisors. Billy has extensive experience in asset valuation and division analysis for complex estates and high net worth individuals. Helping divorcing couples find the solution that works best for them as well as their children is his priority and commitment. Billy resides in Morgan with his wife Heather and 5 children.

For nearly a decade Shaun has been advising clients with some of their biggest transitions in life. Most of those transitions are cause for celebration- retirement, business sale or a new career path. However, there was one transition that frequently came up that wasn’t a cause for celebration, divorce. Shaun realized that this was one of the most difficult and frustrating time periods for someone. He wanted to help so he decided to obtain his CDFA and become a specialist for divorcing couples. Shaun has been assisting UDP clients create their divorce plan for the past three years. Shaun resides in Salt Lake City, UT with his wife, Kate and his twin daughters Quinn and Sloane.
Dale received his BS degree in accounting from Southern Utah University and performed his graduate work at the University of Utah. The past sixteen years has been spent operating his own private accounting practice. He currently holds a license as an EA (Enrolled Agent licensed to practice before the Internal Revenue Service through the Appellate Division) and as a CDFA. Dale brings over 40 years of experience in accounting, tax, mediation, litigation, and estate planning to UDP. He resides in Morgan, Utah with his wife Doris. They have three children and 7 grandchildren.
Maggie graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Her psychology studies provide her with unique insight for the emotional stresses associated with divorce. After graduating, Maggie worked for a government consulting firm in Washington, DC before making a move out west to pursue the next step in her professional career. Maggie provides supports for the CDFAs® by answering client inquiries and providing excellent client service. Maggie and her husband, Ben, currently live in Layton, UT with their energetic border collie, Ellie.
Divorce Planning Associate
Cade is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance. He was attending college on a baseball scholarship in New Mexico until the season was cancelled and the school was closed due to the coronavirus pandemic. As Billy’s oldest son, Cade has always had a passion for investing, following the markets, and helping people make wise financial decisions. He intends to pursue a career in the financial services industry after he graduates, and hopes to follow in Billy’s footsteps to the best of his ability.
Emily graduated with her bachelor’s from Brigham Young University, in Family Science, which has helped her have an in-depth understanding family relationships and dynamics. She finds fulfillment in helping couples work collaboratively to lessen the stresses of divorce. Her administrative assistant role is to collaborate with the CDFAs in analyzing assets and preparing reports for mediation. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking and gardening with her husband and children.
